Buford Jerry Nobles, 76, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at The Pillars of Biloxi Medical Residences in Biloxi, MS following a long illness.
Jerry was born in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Biloxi High and resided in D’Iberville until being admitted into The Pillars Medical Residences. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps he had the opportunity to work in the printing trade for many years. In 1992, he was a major force in forming PDQ Printing and remained active there until his retirement. Jerry truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. He was a great story teller who never met a stranger. Jerry loved animals, particularly dogs and horses. He loved hunting, attending rodeos and NASCAR races and watching Westerns.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nobles; his parents, Buford V. and Della Mae Nobles; and adoptive parents, Vance and Doris Purvis.
He is survived by his half-brothers, Jan Nobles, Drew Nobles and Paul Nobles; half-sisters, Carolyn MacLay and Verde Geil; his God-given daughter and son, Christine Baker and Monroe Baker; grandsons, Douglas Baker, Scott Baker, Jeremy Bell, Jessica Goldberg and Josh McCall; and many close friends including Gifford Ormes and Michael Hunt.
Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Biloxi National Cemetery at 9:00 a.m.
