Mrs. Burma Stringer, 72, of Gulfport, MS, died Monday, May 16, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Stringer was a native of Magee, MS and had been a resident of the coast since 1955. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Handsboro Garden Club. She was formerly employed as an accountant with BFI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Irena Wells Prince.
Survivors include her husband, Billy C. Stringer; a daughter, Billie Frances Stringer of Gulfport; one son, Dean C. Stringer and his wife, Kathy, of Poplarville, MS; one sister, Betty Meadows Green and her husband, Murry, of Brandon, MS; one brother, James E. "Cookie" Prince and his wife, Mary Carroll, of Mendenhall, MS; three grandchildren, Delaney Waltman and his wife, Tonya, Irena Stringer and Kyle Stringer; one great grandson, Cameron Waltman and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials be made to one's favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
