Calvin Ray Burnett

Mr. Calvin Ray Burnett, 75, of Saucier, MS, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, December 23, 2010, to be with his Lord and Savior. Calvin was born January 24, 1935. He was a member of Morris Hill baptist Church where he deeply loved his church family. Calvin lived a blessed and full life. His family takes comfort in the knowledge that he was saved by the everloving grace of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Burnett; parents, Riley and Flora Burnett; and two brothers, Donnie and Charles Burnett. Calvin leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Emilye King Burnett; three daughters, Anna Laura (Johnny) Gray of Leakesville, Julene (Mike) Parker of Perkinston, and Tara (Mark) Biffany of Gulfport; one son, James (Tina) Burnett of Saucier; a twin sister, Carrie Mae Shoemaker; and three brothers, Danny, Robert and Archie Burnett all of Lucedale. Calvin had eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, in Gulfport where friends may visit from 11 a.m. until service time.
