Captain Egon M. Frese, 83, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, January 19, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mr. Frese was a native of Denmark and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 40 years. He was a naturalized U. S. citizen and a U. S. Navy Veteran of WW II. He was a licensed judge for the American Kennel Club for over 50 years and president for the Mississippi Coast Kennel Club. Mr. Frese was a member of the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer. He was a Mason and a 50 year member of the Memphis Lodge No. 118 and a member of the Joppa Shrine Temple. Mr. Frese had written a book, "No Home But The Sea", of his experiences during WW II which is currently in the process of being published.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Frese and two sons, Richard Egon Frese and Terry Frese. Survivors include a granddaughter, Marianne Frese, of Biloxi; a niece, Holly Kirby, and a nephew, Steve Kirby, both of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 23, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park.
