Capt. Wilford Stanley Seymour, Jr.

Capt. Wilford Stanley Seymour, Jr., 56, of Biloxi, MS went home to Jesus Thursday, January 13, 2011. Capt. Seymour was born December 4, 1954 and was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was a 1974 graduate of Biloxi High School and employed with the City of Biloxi where he was highly respected and loved by all city employees. He was a retired captain of seismograph vessels for Western Geophysical and Edison Chouest of Louisiana. Capt. Seymour was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford Stanley Seymour, Sr. and Mary Theresa Arceneaux Seymour; brother, Paul Seymour and grandson, Anakin Massey. He is survived by two daughters, Brandis S. (Daniel) Massey of Ocean Springs, Kammie D. (Gary, Sr.) Barnett of D'Iberville, two sons, Wilford Stanley (Heather) Seymour, III of Bismark, Arkansas, and Jerry (Linda) Battise, Jr. of Saucier; two sisters, Delores S. Moore of St. Martin, and Theresa S. (Mike, Sr.) Anglada of Saucier; seventeen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 16, at Pentecostals Church of the Gulf Coast where friends may visit one hour before service time. Intombment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
