Carl John Skywark

Mr. Carl John Skywark, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Thursday, August 4, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Skywark was born in Waterford, PA., and enlisted in the Navy at 17. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy he served in various capacities including Plant Manager of International Paper in Peoria, Illinois. He had various business interests in the Gulfport area including a charter fishing boat service. Mr. Skywark is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Cape Canaveral, FL., brother, Peter of Erie, PA., sister, Rose Malinowski of Waterford, PA., sons Thomas of Roswell, GA., John of Gainesville, GA., and Robert of Augusta, GA., daughter Jenifer of Cookeville, TN., stepdaughter Dawn Dunkin of Peoria, Illinois, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2005, from 8:30 - 9:30 AM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A 10 AM graveside service will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
