Carl Joseph Unger

Carl Joseph Unger, age 16, born June 6, 1990, left this world November 18, 2006 to be with our Lord and Savior. He was a sophomore at D'Iberville High School where he was a proud member of the DHS Band. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing video games, fishing and hunting. On his last day he spent a great day in the woods hunting. This was a trip he had planned for over a year. He was where he wanted to be. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Virginia and Jack Day of Biloxi, Dallas and Alma Renfroe of Pascagoula, Daniel and Juliet Johnson of White Plains, S.C. and Edith Palmer, Sr. of McHenry; his Uncle Mike Unger of St. Martin; claimed grandfather, Irvin Shuttleworth and step-grandfather, Orin Mack Husley. He is survived by his father, Rick Unger of Gautier; mother and step-father, Dana and Kendall Husley; sisters, Ashley and Kayla Unger; brother, Jeremy Husley all of Woolmarket; and Cameron Husley of St. Augustine, FL; grandparents, Richard and Jeanette Unger of Gautier, Skipper and Ivy Palmer of White Plains,; step-grandmother, Martha Husley and step-great-grandmother, Mittie Husley, and grandma, Barbara Shuttleworth, all of Woolmarket; Uncle Paul and Aunt Rose Unger of Biloxi, Aunt Catherine Unger of Gautier, Aunt Bonnie Sharp, Aunt Dinah and Uncle Dan Shuttleworth of White Plains, Aunt Dawn and Uncle Jamie VanVulpen of Cleveland, Aunt Terri Husley of St. Martin, Aunt Monica Mason, Uncle Lindell and Aunt Wendy Husley, Aunt Tunni Ladner, all of Woolmarket; first cousins, Paul and Bridgett Unger of Biloxi, Jason and Michael Unger of Ocean Springs, Billy and Chris Bassett of Biloxi, Shannon Unger of Gautier, John, Mikee and Kristofer Shuttleworth of White Plains, Connor VanVulpen of Cleveland, Michael and Maria Santa Cruz, September Mason, Danielle Husley, Courtney, Sarah, and Haley Skiados, all of Woolmarket. Many other loving relatives and some great friends, especially, Daniel Scarborough, Aaron and Anthony Norris, Ryan Lyons, all of whom were like brothers to him and Crystal Bowman. You will be sadly missed by everyone. You touched our lives and will always be in our hearts and memories forever. We will never forget your smile, dimples, or your hugs. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 21, 2006 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at White Plains Cemetery in Harrison County.
