Carl Monroe Engle

Carl Monroe Engle, 70, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, May 19, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Engle was born in Monroe, MI and has been a resident of Gulfport since 1975. He was a retired master carpenter. He was a member of American Legion in Gulfport. Mr. Engle was a veteran of Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Engle was preceded in death by his son, Paul Engle. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Willenpje Engle, daughter, Carla Wortell, two sons, John Engle and Rocky Engle, five sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 pm at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour before mass. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
