Carlene Allen Davis

Carlene Allen Davis, 86, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 with her family by her side.

Carlene was born and raised in Biloxi and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She was a member of the Sacred Heart All-Girl Band for four years. Carlene was band captain in her senior year. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Carlene was a big Saints fan. She enjoyed decorating cakes in her younger years, camping, playing cards, watching Saints games with her family, attending Mass and neighborhood gatherings with the Jones, Ward, Brown and Locke families. “Maw Maw Carlene” as she was called by her grandchildren, was such a special, loving and kind person. She prayed for everyone and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Jimmy, who passed away only four short months before her. She is also preceded in death by her parents, James A. Allen and Adelaide Pisarich Allen; her grandparents, Robert and Mary Allen and Gasper and Mary Pisarich; her sister, Judy Pickard; her grandson, Jason Davis; and three great-great grandchildren.

Carlene is survived by her seven children, Brent Davis (Wendy), Tommy Davis, James Davis (Lynn), Mark Davis (Samantha), Alan Davis (Janet), Glen Davis (Kathy) and Cathleen Cartier (Jeffrey); her brother, James G. Allen, Sr.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family wishes to express a special thanks to the medical staff at Memorial Hospital Gulfport ICU. They all took excellent care of our mother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
