Carlie W. Webb, 78, of Hurley, MS passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Glen Oaks Nursing Home in Lucedale, MS after a lenghtly illness.
Mr. Webb was born and raised in Gautier, MS. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in Germany. He retired from Ingalls Ship Building after 38 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ramous and Leady Webb, one brother, Elvin Webb and one sister, Deloris Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Francis Webb of Hurley, MS; a son, Joseph Webb of Broken Arrow, OK; three daughters, Judy (Jim) Carman of Broken Arrow, OK, June Etherton of Loxley, AL, Jean (David) Adkison of Hurley, MS; two brothers, R.J. (Joan) Webb of Gautier, MS, Robert (Irene) Webb of Lucedale, MS; a sister-in-law, Elsie Webb of Gautier, MS; two special friends Mike and Opal Vaughn of Vancleave, MS; six grandchildren, and five great granchildren and numerous neices and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. till service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with Military Honors.
