Carmen Ralph Pelusi

Carmen Ralph Pelusi peacefully passed away at home on October 3,2023 surrounded by his family. 

He was 83 years old. Carmen was born to Ralph and Selma Pelusi on June 5, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his lifetime, he was passionate about many things. He loved to fly and was an avid sailor.  Carmen enjoyed cooking for various church events, his community, but especially for his family.  He has been member of the martial arts community for over 74 years and founded Eight Winds Aikido Society.  As a martial arts instructor, he positively impacted many people throughout the years and his students are too many to count.  However, his biggest passion was spending time with his family.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend.

He was survived in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Eileen Pelusi; his children, Tony Pelusi (Sue), Henry Pelusi (Terri), Carmen Cornell (John), and Angelina Lawrence (Chris); 15 grandchildren, Jennifer, Sandy, Anthony, Jasmin, Kyle, Kaleb, Tra, Courtney, Katlyn, Jack, Sam, Brianna, Thomas, Warren, and Christopher; 3 great grandchildren, Jacob, Hayden, and Sylvia Rose; sister, Norma Jean Kelley; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 809 De La Pointe Dr., Gautier, MS 39553. Friends may visit from 10:00am until service time. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs.
