Mrs. Carol Ryland Page, 75, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 in Gulfport. Mrs. Page was a native and resident of Gulfport and a retired school teacher. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and received her Masters Degree at Ole Miss. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bayou View and a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter # 51 in Gulfport. Carol enjoyed drawing with pastels and charcoal and was a member of the Gulf Coast Art Association. She also volunteered at Lynn Meadow's Discovery Center. Her most recent job, was a paper route which she enjoyed and kept her busy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lucille Ryland; her daughter, Jan Hill; a brother, Warren "Buddy" Ryland; and a sister, Mrs. Ardeth Ryland Bertucci.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter, Danny Ryland Foster and wife, Lynn of Gulfport; Charles Hooker Page and wife, Pam of Lake Mary, FL, Edgar Eugene Page and wife, Kathleen of Clovis, CA and Kelly Ross of Paris, TN. She had five grandchildren, Brandy and Brian Page, Thomas James and Amber Mason, and Coewan Michael Hill; two sisters, Willadene Gans of Moline, IL, Palma James and husband, Lee of Albany, GA; and two brothers, Marlin "Son" Ryland and wife, Iris of Gulfport and C. W. "Skip" Ryland and wife, Peggy of Gulfport.
Visitation will be Monday evening, June 20, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service is Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
