Carol Turner, 97, of Wiggins, MS, died Monday, June 13, 2005 in Gulfport. Mrs. Turner was a native of St. Louis, MO. and was longtime resident of Granite City, IL. She had been a resident of Wiggins for the past year and half. Mrs. Turner was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, MO. and Boyd School of Commerce in Washington, D.C. She worked for the federal government in Washington, D.C., where she was an audit clerk in the Treasury Department during World War II.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband Restrore Hall Turner.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Carol Orlandi of Menomonee Fall, Wisconsin, Kathryn Ross of Wiggins, MS, Mary Turner of Belleville, IL, 1 son Lawrence Turner of Bunker Hill, IL, 2 sisters Dorothy Serulnic of Sedona, AZ, Amelia Eilers of Chesterfield, MO, 1 brother Arthur Studt of St. Louis, MO., 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Service will be Saturday, June 18, 2005 in Troy, IL.
