Carole Broussard Keenze

Carole Broussard Williams Keenze, loving wife, Mother, and devoted Christian, 62, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010. Mrs. Keenze was a Biloxi Native and long time resident of Ocean Springs. She was a retiree from Chevron Refinery in Pascagoula. Before working at Chevron she was a celebrated philanthropist and reporter for many Coast publications including: The Sun Herald; The Mississippi Press; The Ocean Springs Record; and The Gulf Pine Catholic. Carole enjoyed helping her community by assisting in many of the charitable public outreach programs at Chevron. She also cherished serving her church while working for the Catholic Diocese. Loving God and helping others are what Carole found most fulfilling. She was known for her smile and for having an “angel-like ability to know the needs of others.” She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. John R. Broussard Jr., and her mother, Bette Broussard. She is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Keenze; children, Kim Williams-Pitalo (Pat), Chance Williams, Jessica Gandolfo (Chris); step-daughter, Ashlee Pearce(Keith); step-grandchildren, Lane Pearce and Slayden Pearce; sisters, Janice Broussard, Marie Trochesset, Patty Broussard, Linda Broussard and Julie Toche; and brother, Steve Broussard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM, April 6, 2010, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 58 Progress Parkway, St. Louis, Missouri 63043-3706. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
