Carolyn Ann Rester Castilow On June 23, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Ms Carolyn was called home to be in pain no more. Ms Carolyn was born on October 15, 1938, to Budric and Emma Rester. Along with her parents, those waiting to welcome her home were her husband, H.C. Castilow; baby daughter, Rachel Ann; companion, Donovan Cuevas; brothers, Ernest Rester, Willard Rester, and Richard Rester; sisters, Verna Lee Cuevas, Tressie Lee Cuevas, Luna Mae Cuevas, Janie Powe, and Lola Melton. Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Lisa Ann Castilow Saucier; son-in-law, Kenneth Saucier; granddaughter Alicia Ann Castilow Saucier, and grandson, Kenneth David Saucier, all of Lizana; step-daughters, Annette Ellingson of the Standard-Dedeaux Community, Velma Whitfield, of Slidell, LA; step-sons, Carl Donivan Cuevas, Delbert Cuevas, Terry Cuevas, and Barry Cuevas; ten step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren, all of the Standard-Dedeaux Community; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family expresses gratitude to Doctors Davidson, Azar, Rogness, and Rubio and the nurses and staff of the third floor at Memorial Hospital for the care and concern shown to Ms Carolyn during her illness. A wake for Ms Carolyn will be Tuesday, June 26 at 5:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church on Highway 53, Lizana. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in the Standard Dedeaux Community. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
