Carolyn Buckley Bourgeois

Carolyn Buckley Bourgeois, born September 22, 1940, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024.

Carolyn was born in Gulfport, MS and was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Bay St. Louis, MS. Carolyn worked many years in retail sales and loved spending time with friends. Carolyn’s true dedication was to her family and her church, St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Earl M. Buckley and Margaret Larose Buckley; her son, Robert Bourgeois; and her sister, Phyllis Powell. She is survived by her sons Thomas (Stephanie) Bourgeois and Lonnie (Lisa) Bourgeois, her daughter-in-law Kim Busby, her grandchildren Meghan (Matthew) Peltz, Jamie (Dalton) Trogstad, Ryan (Annie) Bourgeois, Taylor Bourgeois, Kaley (Ryan) Shiyou, and Jarrett (Alexis) Bourgeois, and her great grandchildren Caleb, Julia and Elias Peltz, Hannah and Benjamin Bourgeois and Kailand Bourgeois.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
