Carolyn Joyce Gonzalez

Carolyn Joyce Young Gonzalez, age 71, of Gulfport, MS passed away August 20, 2022 at Singing River Gulfport.

She was born in Gulfport but also lived in Amherst and Holyoke, MA.  She was employed in food service at Amherst College for 30 years.  She loved her family and friends and her church, where she helped with Sunday School and she loved to see the smiles on the kid's faces when she left kisses on their drawings.  She loved cooking, camping, shopping and gardening.  She was always thinking of others and would draw a crowd with her laugh and her stories.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Young and Henrietta Ladner Fairley; siblings Larry Keith Young, Wayne Mouring, Benny Mouring, Claudette (Mouring) Leslie; and her dogs Sheba and Zeus.

She is survived by son, Les Heath; grandchildren Christopher Heath, Anthony Heath, Keiry Heath, Celeste Heath and Eden Couture; great grandchildren Kaylannie Heath and Christopher Heath, Jr; sister-in-law Liz Moran and her pet dogs Lexi (her baby bear) and Hershey.
