Carroll M. "Charlie" Brown

Mr. Carroll M. "Charlie" Brown, 77, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, January 19, 2006, in Biloxi. Mr. Brown was a native of Melrose, Massachusetts and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1964. He was a decorated U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of WW II, having served in Pearl Harbor, and retired from the U. S. Air Force as a decorated veteran of Vietnam. He also served in the U. S. Merchant Marines. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Biloxi and a Catholic. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Katherine Brown; a daughter, Denise M. Peters; his parents, Carroll M. and Sadie Stetson Brown and his brother, Ernest Brown. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Marie Brown of Ocean Springs and Dianne M. Butera of Wiggins; two sons, David M. Reeves-Brown and his wife, Jessamyn, of Ashville, NC and Daniel M. Brown of Biloxi; one brother, LeRoy S. Brown of Granbury, Texas; five grandchildren, Peter Butera, Lisa Lowery, David Michael Brown, Jr., Robert Kelly Brown and Ashley Marie Lamb, and four great grandchildren. A memorial service was held and Mr. Brown was buried in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi was in charge of services.
