Catrina Lamey Shook

Mrs. Catrina Lamey Shook, 45, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Houston, TX. Catrina was born on May 31, 1966 and was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, precious daughter and loyal friend to many people. Catrina was a graduate of the Gulf Coast Community College with a degree in nursing. She was a member of the Mississippi Nursing Association and was currently employed as a nurse at Coast Cardiovascular Consultants Cedar Lake Office. Her kind and caring manner touched many lives. Catrina was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lynrose Quave Sr., and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs, Ollie Lamey Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Anthony "Scooter" Shook; sons, Drew and Colton Shook; her parents, Sylvia and Chester Lamey Sr.; sisters, Deeanna (Ray) Pearce, Heidi (Scott) Faeser and a brother, Chester (Amy) Lamey Jr.; her niece, Chasity and nephews, Tristin, TJ, Cory, River, Asher, Chester III, Chandler and Caden. She is also survived by her husband's family, Linda and Rufus McGinnis, Scott and Rennie Shook, Shawn and Kay Shook, and nieces and nephews, Aaron, Arliss, Melissa, Taylor, and Connor. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Frank Gruich Community Center, 591 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Catrina are invited. Always sharing, always caring, always giving, Catrina continued even in death as she did in life…Sharing, caring and giving to many people…hope in their lives through her organ donation.
