Cedric "C.J." Porter

Cedric “C.J.” Porter, 21, of Ocean Springs, MS, joined his parents, Cedric R. Porter, Sr. and Sara J. Porter, as well as his best friend, Colin Leonardi, Jr., on December 12, 2021. C.J. is survived by his siblings, Cedarion R. Porter, Alexus N. Porter, and Kylee J. Porter; niece, Nyla Caprice Porter; grandparents, Gwendolyn C. Porter, Joe and Mary Alexander, and Sandra and John Edget Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his BRG Family. C.J. was born on March 15, 2000. In his youth, C.J. attended St. Martin Schools. He went on to graduate from Caledonia High School in 2018. He worked for Sunkist Country Club and, most recently, the City of Ocean Springs. C.J. had the biggest heart and was always very supportive of his siblings. He faithfully made sure he protected, loved, and guided his younger sisters; Kylee J. Porter, Leila M. Martello, and Aubrey M. Mansfield. His smile was contagious and his laugh was unforgettable. He may have had a shy personality, but he was always the favorite “bad kid” out of all his siblings. His smile, personality, and heart gave everyone a soft spot for him and made it easy to love and know him. C.J. will always be remembered for his true passions, which included making memories with his family and creating merchandise and music with his BRG Family. His love for sports, especially football and his Florida Gators, kept him excited and passionate for weekly games and sports bets (#justcashedout). C.J. also had a strong passion for clothes, shoes, cars, and jewelry. C.J. loved to travel with his siblings and his BRG family, wanting to see the world and make his mark. One thing that most know about C.J. was his organizational skills. He was definitely a male version of his older sister, Lexi, also known as “SISSSTERRR”. C.J. always looked up to and idolized his older brothers, Cedarion R. Porter, Tyler M. Polk, and many, many more. Friends are family to C.J. and the list of people who care about him is infinite. C.J. will forever be remembered for his kind heart, sweet smile, and intense love. C.J. was an extremely charming individual, and to know him was to love him. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue Biloxi, MS 39532. Service to follow at 3:00 PM.
