Cedric R. Porter

Cedric Rodequez Porter, 34, was born on January 4th, 1976 to Gwendolyn Porter and John Edget in Grenada Mississippi. He entered into rest on December 12th, 2010. He united with Second New Hope Church and was baptized on May 7th, 1989 under the pastorage of Reverend Dewel Jamerson. Cedric graduated from Grenada High School, Class of 1994. He attended Mississippi State University and later joined the United States Air Force. He was employed by Northrup Grumman Corporation. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Sara Alexander on March 26th, 2006. His precious memories will forever be remembered by his four children: Cedarion, Alexus, Cedric Jr and Kylee; his mother, Gwendolyn Porter and his father, John (Sandra) Edget: two sisters, Jasmine and Chenetra and one brother, Cadarius; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitors may call Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue Chapel in Biloxi. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will be in D’Iberville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the account of: Joe and Mary Alexander for the Benefit of the Porter family at Community Bank.
