Charline Martinolich Carnes, 78 died Thursday July 28, 2005 in Biloxi, MS. A wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a friend and a devoted Catholic, she was a woman of wisdom and character. Charline not only pulled through her own struggles with a smile, she also pulled everyone who got the pleasure of knowing her through theirs as well. Her presence in our lives was meaningful as she embraced everyday with her patience, strength and faith. She lived each day of her life as if it were her last to her final breath. Daughter of Andrew K. & Charline Schmidt Martinolich, deceased, Charline graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1945. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Bay St. Louis and Oxford, MS. She was Vice President of West MS Auxiliary Committee, St Paul’s Catholic Church, Sodality Committee at St Mary’s Catholic Church and currently a member of Altar Society Committee of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Charline M. Carnes and Dr. Carnes, deceased,celebrated 54 years of marriage together, having twelve children. She was the mother of six daughters; Andra C. McBroom, Biloxi, MS, Linda A. Bisanti (Paul), Des Moines, IA, Debra M. Gustfason (Dave), Des Moines, IA, Charla A. Carnes, Kansas City, MO, Regina S. Reyes, Biloxi, MS and Teresa E. Carnes, Lenexa, KS., and six sons: William H. Carnes III, Nixa, MO, Carl M. Carnes (Bernie), Des Moines, IA, Robert P. Carnes (Lianna), Independence, MO, James M. Carnes (Judy), Olathe, KS, Paul D. Carnes, Biloxi, MS and John K. Carnes deceased. She has 22 grandchildren: Joey, Jon, Lindsey, Tara, Katona, Angela, Jimmy, Gina, Maria, Dave, Robert, Cindy, Charlene, Jessica, Katherine, Molly, David, Alex, Madelyn, Cory, Julia and John, and 12 Great Grandchildren. She has three sisters, Myrt Flinn, Joanne Dear and Jean Martinolich, and one brother, Andrew Martinolich, Jr. all of Bay St. Louis. Mrs. Carnes is of the catholic faith and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p m Monday, August 1, 2005 at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with recitation of the Rosary at 7 .p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Catholic Priests Retirement Fund, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road,Biloxi, MS 39531 or charities of your choice.
