Charles Blanton Folsom

Charles B. "Chuck" Folsom, 83, of Ocean Springs, MS, went home to his Heavenly Father, Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Biloxi. Mr. Folsom was born in Glennville, GA and was a graduate of Glennville High School. He had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1969 and an active member of First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, retiring as a SMSgt after 22 years of service. Mr. Folsom was preceded in death by his former wife, Bonnie Neal Folsom; infant son; father, Roy Deloach Folsom, Sr.; mother, Gertrude Hilton Folsom; step-mother, Mary Lousie Folsom; brothers, Roy Deloach (Hazel) Folsom, Jr. and James Folsom. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Walker Folsom; daughter, Cheryl Dawn (David) Minchew; brothers, Gennis (Edna) Folsom and Mike (Diane) Folsom; sisters, Carolyn Silvers, Bobby Jean (Earl) Conn and Judy Deloach; step-daughters, Jackie (Rick) Mullins, Amy (Robert) Plunkett and Cathy (Brian) Van Demark; step-sons, Bill (Brenda) Walker, Tommy (Helen) Walker and Mickey (Sharon) Walker; fourteen step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, Building Fund, 602 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Visitation is Monday, June 27, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
