Charles Edward Boswell, age 85, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 surrounded by loved ones in the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Ms.
He was born July 27, 1933 in Bergaw, North Carolina to Homer and Laura Boswell. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-two years, and married the love of his life Rita F. Scanlon Boswell for fifty-three years. Following his military career, he worked at Ingalls Litton Data Systems for twenty years until retirement. Charles was a true servant who loved to serve others by delivering meals through Meals On Wheels. He never met a stranger and opened his home to anyone who needed help.
Charles cared relentlessly for his mother and wife until they both preceded him in death. His father, brother and sister also preceded him in death.
Charles is survived by his sons, John M. Boswell and William “Bill” F. Boswell (Una A. Broussard Boswell); his grandchildren, Christina M. Hamilton (Joe Hamilton), Brandon A. Boswell, Jared M. Boswell (Kim Boswell) and Lauren M. Boswell; and great-grandsons, Leo J. Hamilton, John M. Hamilton, and Asher C. Boswell.

Please join us in celebrating his life of service and love. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 and funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00 am, both at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
