Charles D. Jones, Sr.

Charles D. "Chuck" Jones, Sr., 71 of Gautier died Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Ocean Springs. Charles was a native of Covington, TN and a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1968. He was a member of the Clark Bayou Assembly of God Church in Escatawpa, MS. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of 101 Airbourn Division. He owned and operated "Jones Drywall and Painting." Charles enjoyed fishing and Nascar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd H. Jones, Sr. and Sadie Mae Jones and his sister, Melba Darlene Jones. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Rita R. Jones, daughters, Renee' Jones, Heather (Jerry) Kinnan, son, Charles "David" Jones, Jr., step-daughters, Linda Kay Fox, Cindy (Will) Hopkins, step-son, Raleigh (Geri) Fox, sister, Linda Fay Stewart, brothers, Jerry Allen Jones, Floyd "Herschel" (Joan) Jones, Stanley (Olga) Jones and 6 grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday, July 29, 2009, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Service will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 12:00 noon.
