Charles "Doug" Broome

Charles Douglas "Doug" Broome, 55, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Doug was born in DeRidder, LA, and had been a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He was the owner/operator of Doug's Dental Lab and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. He was an avid fisherman. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Broome, and his grandparents, Willie Broome, Sr., Dovie Broome, and Claude and Lucille Harvey. He is survived by his parents, W. T. and Joyce Broome; sister, Laurie (Michael) Shields; brother, David (Cathy) Broome; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday, June 13, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
