Mr. Charles J. Duggan, Jr., native of Biloxi and beloved husband of Gladys Krohn Duggan for 57 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2006, in Union Kentucky. Mr. Duggan is survived by his wife, sons, Charles J.(Alice) Duggan, III of Biloxi, Paul Francis (Cindy) Duggan of Jackson, TN, Thomas Anthony (Lesley) Duggan of Walton, KY; daughters Marian Claire (David Baldenecker) Duggan of Gulfport; Julie Duggan (Henry) Muse of Jackson, MS; sisters, Dorothy Duggan Lund of Biloxi, Melanie Duggan Raymond of Biloxi; sister-in-law Mrs. George Duggan, Sr. of Moss Point, MS, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Duggan is preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. Duggan, Sr. and Eldora Ross Duggan; sister, Evelyn Duggan DeLapp, and a brother, Geroge Duggan, Sr. Mr. Duggan was born in Biloxi on September 9, 1928, and resided there until being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. He was a parishioner of Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral and a current parishioner of St. Timothy Parish in Union, Kentucky. He is a Korean War veteran, USN, Aircraft Carrier USS Monterey, and retired supervisor for the US Department of Defense, Litton, Pascagoula , MS. A devoted husband and father, he enjoyed his Back Bay view, his Pekingese dogs, eating seafood and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard. After relocating to Kentucky, he continued to grieve for his lost Biloxi home and the separation from his family and friends . He will be greatly and eternally missed by all who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered by his kind and generous nature. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2006 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.with a 7 p.m. rosary. On Saturday, December 30, 2006 there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m at Nativity BVM where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request masses to said, or donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis. Bradford-O'keefe Funeral Homes, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
