Charles E. Short

Charles E. "Gene" Short, 55, of Park Ridge, Illinois passed away on August 7, 2006, in Illinois. Mr. Short was a former resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a member of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Mathieu Short. Survivors include two sisters, Louise Owens of Fairhope, AL and Brenda (George) Mulvaney of Ocean Springs, MS; five brothers, Joe (Linda) Short of Fredonia, WI, James Banagan of Milton, FL, Felipe Banagan of Leesburg, VA, Bill (Pat) Short of Alexander City, AL and George Short of Pascagoula, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2006 in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 638, Gulfport, MS., 39502.
