Charles F. "Charlie O." Osterman

Mr. Charles F. "Charlie O." Osterman, 79, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Pascagoula. Mr. Osterman was born in Haugen, Minnesota, and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a retired U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was also retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding and a member of Elks Lodge #2501 in Ocean Springs where he held many positions. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 1992 in Gautier and the VFW Post 5699 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Osterman was preceded in death by two former wives, Mary Nell Osterman and Mary Lou Osterman. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Mary C. Osterman, eight children, one sister, four brothers, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 12:30 p.m.
