Charles Larry Cochrane, 76, of Vancleave died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in Gulfport. Mr. Cochrane was a resident of the Gulf Coast for 24 years. He was a Master Instructor in Air Traffic Control for Keesler Air Force Base. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He helped rebuild Ramsay Hills Baptist Church after Katrina. He also loved cruise ship traveling and RVing. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
Mr. Cochrane is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Cochrane and Janie B. Wilson; sons, Joseph, Martino and Charles L. Cochrane, Jr.; sister, Delores Harnden; and brother, Thomas Cochrane.
Mr. Cochrane is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Cochrane; daughters, Cathy (Bob) Cole of St. Martin, Beth (Chris) Kraack of Riverview, FL, Kim (Roland) Moran of Saucier; sister, Martha Rae of Sipsey, AL; five grandchildren, Robby Cole and Robin Smith of Birmingham, AL, Joseph and Mindy Martino of Suffner, FL and Roland Moran III of Saucier and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, October 20, 2008 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with Funeral Services Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 10:30 am. Both will be held at Ramsay Hills Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
