Charles Lewallen

Charles "Mr. Charles" Lewallen, 79, of Pass Christian, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Gulfport. He was born in Atlanta, GA and had been a resident of Pass Christian for the past sixteen years. He previously served in the U.S. Army and was self-employed as an electrician. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lewallen was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Birdie Lewallen; and sons, Dennis Lewallen and Wayne Lewallen; a sister, Doris Moore; and three brothers, Wesley Lewallen, Roy Lewallen, and James Lewallen. He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte McHatten of Gulfport; a son, Charles Wayne Lewallen and his wife, Lisa of Long Beach; two sisters, Bernice Kelly and Fay Pruitt and two brothers, Donald Lewallen and Jessie Lewallen, all of Georgia; four grandchildren, Brandi Necaise, Shannon McHatten, Dustin Knowles, Tiffany Lewallen and four great-grandchildren, Marissa Pritchard, Alexa Necaise, Catherine Necaise and Robert S. McHatten, II. There will be a memorial service, Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit an hour before the service.
