Charles "Mickey" Michael McGee

Charles "Mickey" Michael McGee passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 surrounded by his family at his home in Cypress, TX at the age of 70 after a long illness. Mickey was born July 2, 1951 to Warner and Clara McGee in Jackson, MS. Mickey a native of Jackson, MS graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Geology. Later in life he pursued his passion, Computer Engineering. His career encompassed many great achievements, including creating the first e-commerce site for Enron, helping create the first customer-facing online portal for PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), architected interfaces for Navy’s supply systems, as well as Rolls-Royce sourcing endeavors, he also lead the team and re-designed the contract systems for Harris County Flood Control Division, & re-engineered most of Harris County Toll Roads internal systems. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Bettie McGee Rich and Judy McGee Puckett; and his brother, Warner “Jack” Jackson McGee. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carolyn Young McGee; his sons; Charles " Mitch" Michael, Jr. (Melinda), Matthew Donald (Jessica) and Coby Alan (Lauren); his grandchildren, Madison and Mitchell, Mateo and Cristal, Charlotte, Everett and Annie; his sister, Cynthia McGee (Vicki); numerous nieces and nephews; his brothers-in-law, Don Rich and Charles Young (Terry); and his sisters-in-law, Linda Gregory (Joel), Roberta Young and Geraldine McGee. Visitation will be on Saturday August 21, 2021 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. A private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Ocean Springs, MS. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the McGee family.
