The Man, the Myth, the Legend, Mr. Charles Moore, age 80, of Vancleave, MS left his beloved family to be with his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Moore, and his son, Charlie, on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Charles Moore's mission in life was to his family, country and friends. He honorably retired from the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense after 42 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Past Master for life. Survivors include five daughters, Kathy Easterling, Dorothy Houk, Joyce Moore, Beth Montana and Jennifer Boyd; four brothers, Peter, George and Andrew Heindl and Kerry Brink, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as many friends. A Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, June 24 at 6pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit 30 minutes prior to service. Internment, with full military honors, will follow on Monday, June 25, at 10 am, in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Charles's name to Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project.
