Charles E. Newman

MSgt. Charles E. Newman, USAF, Retired, age 81 of Gulfport, MS passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles C. Newman. Chuck is survived by his wife Annie B. Newman who he was married and loved for 56 years. His second son Michael L. Newman and his wife Shelly. His Grandchildren, SFC Charles Anthony Newman and his wife Jennifer, SFC David Newman and his wife Jennifer. His great grandchildren Bryce Newman, Garrett Newman, Charley Newman and Bryce Chittwood. Two brothers, Butch Newman and Lewis Newman, one sister Mary Anne Horvell. Also a special niece Becky McClain. Chuck was born and raised in Gastonia, NC before entering the Air Force. He served for 26 years, accumulating numerous awards and decoration and served proudly in Viet Nam and other overseas assignments. In his free time Chuck had a passion for golf, playing every free moment he had. Friends and family may visit from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at BRADFORD-O’KEEFE FUNERAL HOME, 15th Street, Gulfport.
