Charles S. Marchelos

Mr. Charles S. Marchelos, age 80, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Saturday, February 7, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Marchelos, a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, was born in New York, New York. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII serving aboard the U.S.S. Mississippi. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Vanacore Marchelos of Ocean Springs, two daughters, Elaine Marchelos and Carol Ann Anderson, five sons, Charlie Marchelos, George Marchelos, Roy Marchelos, Richard Marchelos and Cameron Marchelos, and a brother, Harry Marchelos. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 2755 Bienville Blvd., Ocean Springs, MS. 39564. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
