Charles Vincent Hook

Mr. Charles V. Hook, age 83, of Coden, AL, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, in Mobile, AL. Mr. Hook was a resident of Jackson County from 1963-2004, and was most recently a resident of Fowl River, AL. He retired from Chevron after 35 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by two wives, Bernice Byrd Hook and Lola Kittrell Hook and his parents, Lester and Josephine Estrada Hook. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret (James) Haig and Katherine Hook, a stepson, Jim (Vicki) Kittrell, sister, Ramona Sanchez, several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren, Mike, Tony and Cristina Haig. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, from 9 AM - 10 AM, with a 10 AM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Dauphin Island UMC Building Fund, P.O. Box 294, Dauphin Island, AL., 36526.
