Chelsea JoLynn Kangas

Chelsea JoLynn Kangas, age 29, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Chelsea was born on June 8, 1992 in Biloxi, MS. She graduated in 2010 from D’Iberville High School with honors. Chelsea received her Associates Degree from MGCCC and was pursuing a degree at USM. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and a friend to all. Chelsea never met a stranger. She was a preschool teacher at Little Angels in Perkinston, MS and a former employee of Harrison County Schools, Best Buy and Once Upon a Child in D’Iberville, MS. Chelsea was also a former student of Nancy’s School of Dance. She loved singing, dancing and being the best Mom that she could be. Chelsea loved with all of her heart.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Ernest Kangas; paternal grandparents, William Thomas Henegan and Mary Nell Hampel.

Chelsea’s survivors include her 3 month-old daughter, Teagan Sage, her greatest joy, her heart and her love of her life; her grandparents, Nana Margaret Emmons and Paw Paw Wayne Emmons; her parents, Melissa and Wilber Ledet and Clark Henegan; siblings, Christopher (Danielle) Kangas, Chad (Carly) Ledet, Meagan (Josh) Ronk and Nicholas Ledet; her nieces, Harper “her mini me” and Josie; her nephew, River; and her precious cats, Prince Pasquali, Mango and Wasabi.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Old Biloxi Cemetery.
