Chester Floyd Noble

Mr. Chester Floyd Noble, age 89, of Oceans Springs, MS, died at home on Monday, August 11, 2008. Mr. Noble was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He served in the United Sates Army in World War II from January, 1943 until April, 1946. Mr. Noble retired from the Ocean Springs School District, where he had worked as a school bus driver and in the Maintenance Department. He was a faithful member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Noble was a living testament to his faith and will be remembered by all he encountered for his heartfelt advice to, “Be ready, and help someone else be ready also.” He will also be lovingly remembered for his devotion to Evelyn Beaugez Noble, his wife of 59 years, who preceded him in death in February, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Morris and Jane Noble and his sister, Eunice Seymour. He is survived by his sisters, Beryl Bond, Ona Lee Dunbar, and Naomi Noble, and his brother, Leo Noble and wife, Betty, all of Ocean Springs. Mr. Noble is survived by his daughter, Lynda Noble Brokl and her husband, Tom, John W. “Rick” Noble and his wife, Angela, of Ocean Springs, and Brenda Noble Conerly and her husband, Clint, of Burke, Virginia. He was affectionately called “Be Ready PaPa” by his grandchildren, David Lee and wife, Holly, Michael Lee and wife, Beth, Angela Conerly Duperrouzel and husband, Peter, Amy Conerly, John “Rick” Noble, Jr., and Brian Noble. He was also much loved by his great-grandchildren, Allyson, Emily, and Joshua Lee, and Kayla and Lexi Duperrouzel. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 6-8 pm, with a 10 am chapel service on Thursday, August 14, 2008, both at Ocean Springs Chapel, Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Vancleave.
