Cheveyo “Chey” Tala Alspaugh, age 7, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Jackson, MS.

Chey was born on January 5, 2015 in Gulfport, to Keaoni Alspaugh and Kathryn Blankenship. She attended West Wortham Elementary School and St. Martin North Elementary School. Chey loved singing, dancing, soccer, drawing, and story writing.

Chey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Becky Blankenship, and Tambalina Alspaugh; great-grandparents, Ernest C. and Suse Wilson and Robert D. and Marilyn Alspaugh; great-grandfather, Tom Blankenship; and cousin, Seminole Nieto.

Survivors include her parents, Keaoni Alspaugh and Kathryn Blankenship (Shelby); grandparents, Chrisinda S. Alspaugh (Ronnie Carew) of Gulfport, Samuel P. Alspaugh of Gulfport, Tommy Blankenship of Saucier, Meri Blankenship of Saucier, and Eric and Losondra King; great-grandparents, Sarah Blankenship, Lynnie Mason, and Grandma the Great, Pearle Hoda; uncles, Bobby Nieto (Tammy) of Gulfport, Rheno Nieto of San Antonio, TX, Na’tah’ni Alspaugh (Tina) of Gulfport, Dakkota Alspaugh (Giovanni) of Gainesville, FL, Mekhi Alspaugh of Gulfport, Samuel Alspaugh of Gulfport, and Ricky Blankenship ( Kelli), Shane Duplantis, Patrick King, Kasey King, Corey King, and Xander King; aunts, Yashira Nieto of Saucier and Elena Guerra of Sacramento, CA, Ashley Preston (Ashton), Krystal Blankenship, and Erica Jimenez (Luke); great-uncles, Ernest C. A funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
