Christine Jeanne Kallsten

Christine Jeanne Kallsten, age 98, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. 

Christine was born on June 16, 1926, to her parents, Rasul and Raymonde Bareyre, in Bordeaux, France. She worked for several years as a bartender and as a custodian at Moss Point Schools. She loved traveling, walking, going to the beach and being around people and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jackie Bareyre and spouse, Eric William Kallsten.

She is survived by her sister, Marie Claire Gilbert; children, Margaret Calogero, Anna Green and Steve Byrd; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and stepchildren, Nancy Kallsten and Billy Kallsten.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 3 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
