Claudia Miles

Mrs. Claudia Mayfield Miles, 89, died peacefully at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL on February 9, 2011, with her family at her side. She was a native of Laurel, MS, former resident of Brewton, AL and Gulfport, MS and a resident of Daphne, AL for the past five years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Murl Miles; her parents, Claudia Capers and "Jack" Henry Leslie Mayfield of Laurel, MS; her two brothers, "Buddy" Henry Leslie Mayfield, Jr. of Yazoo City, MS and George Mayfield, Buffalo, NY. She is survived by her son, Stephen Dale Miles, Sr. and his wife, Patsy Daniel of Daphne, AL; and sister, Mrs. William I. Beard (Arleane), Hattiesburg, MS. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Stephen Dale Miles, Jr. of Theodore, AL and Dayna Miles Roush (Patrick R. ) of Pensacola, FL; and three great grandchildren, Olivia and Victoria Miles of Theodore, AL and Kaylee Roush of Pensacola, FL. Visitation will Monday, February 14, 2011 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with chapel service following at 10 AM. Burial will be at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi. The family prefers memorials to First United Methodist Church , 820 Vellville Avenue, Brewton, AL 36426.
