Mrs. Clessie Butler, age 73, of Gautier, MS., died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, in Moss Point, MS.
Mrs. Butler was a resident of the community for one year. She was very family oriented and her family was her life. Mrs. Butler was an outstanding cook, a passionate geneologist of family history and an avid reader. She had also been a caring and very compassionate nurse and was a very dedicated Christian with the First Baptist Church of Gautier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Nora Coy and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Johnie Butler, of Gautier, two daughters, Deborah (Terry) Johnson of Gautier, and Janet (Ron) Loyd of Oklahoma City, OK., a son, Johnie (Tracy) Butler, Jr. of Cooper City, FL., three living sisters, one living brother, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 3-4 PM, with a 4 PM church funeral at the First Baptist Church of Gautier. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier.
