Mr. Clifford Earl "Sonny" Davis, 78, of Cedar Lake, died Friday, May 16, 2008, in Biloxi.
Mr. Davis was born January 1, 1930, grew up in Fort Bayou and Cedar Lake. He attended Vancleave Elementary School and graduated from Woolmarket High School. He served in the U. S. Navy and sailed on the air craft carrier "Essex" He was employed at Keesler Air Force Base and retired from Davis Meat Plant.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parent, Clifford J. and Merle Campbell Davis. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Dronet of Fort Bayou and Belinda Stabler and her husband, Gerald, of Cedar Lake; one sister, Jean Marie Hagler of Springfield, LA; a brother, Joe Davis and his wife, Carol, of Cedar Lake; an aunt, Jeane Brown of St. Martin; a caring nephew, Kevin Davis of Cedar Lake; and his grandchildren, Steven, Jade and Phillip Dronet of Fort Bayou, Brandon and Justin Stabler of Cedar Lake, Sierra, Jadan and Kaliegh Stabler of Latimer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Coalville Cemetery on Loraine Road.
