Clifford Gustaf Nelson

Mr. Clifford G. Nelson, 89, died Friday, November 10, 2006, in Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Nelson was born June 7, 1917 in Ocean Springs, MS and remained a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Force and served in Casablanca, North Africa during WW II. Clifford retired from Coastal Chemical and was a graduate of the Famous Artist Academy. He spent his time painting, sketching and taking photographs. He also enjoyed gardening, wood working and fishing. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Nelson, and his parents, Gus and Karin Nelson. Survivors include his three sons, Forrest Nelson and his wife, Gail, Mark Nelson and his wife, Liz, all of North Alabama, and Douglas Nelson and his wife, Maria, of Ocean Springs; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday, November 14, 2006, from 6:30 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
