Clifton Douglas "Parge" Davis

Clifton Douglas "Parge" Davis passed away on Saturday, August 25th 2018. He was born July 23, 1929 in Vancleave, MS, where he was a life-long resident. Mr. Davis was devoted to his family and was a fixture in the community. In his spare time, Mr. Davis loved to farm, hunt, and fish. He was also the biggest Vancleave Bulldogs fan his town has ever seen. He always had a dip in his mouth, a smile on his face, and a story to tell. The love he had for his family and friends was unwavering. To know him was to love him. Today we celebrate as he is reunited with his beloved wife, Doris, in Heaven. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff Breckenridge and Nellie Mae Ramsey Davis; his wife, Doris Elene Tillman Davis; daughter, Johnette Davis Bosarge; grandson, John "Breck" Davis; and two sisters, Roy Jones and Clyde Steelman. Survivors include his children, Harry (Barbara) Davis, LaJoyce (Roland) Ware, Roger (Suzanne) Davis, Warren Davis, son in law Paul Bosarge; eight grandchildren, Cherie (Tim) Drake, Randa (Jake) Parker, Kerri (Daniel) Dickerson, Jessica (Jonny) Clifford, Delta (Warren) Goss, Paula (Adam) McQueen, Cliff Davis, and Hank Davis; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 10 am until 12 pm with service immediately following. All will be held at the RLDS Church in Vancleave. High Priest, Wake Inabinette and Elder JoAnn Lutes will be officiating. Interment will follow in Ramsay- Vancleave #2 Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Dougie Vaughn, Paul Vaughn, Robert Vaughn, Tippy Flurry, Dick Steelman, Wayne Davis, Kym Davis, Curt Davis, Glynn Roberts, Craig Davis, and David Owens. A special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Light for their care and kindness shown to our family during this time. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
