CMSgt Harry J. Shelton, Jr., USAF retired

CMSgt Harry J. Shelton, Jr., USAF, Retired, 65, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Harry was born in Pampa, TX and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1985. He was a US Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam Conflict and Desert Storm. Harry retired from Keesler Air Force Base in 1993 after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, dad and papa. Harry touched and influenced many lives as a mentor and was generous to a fault. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy Shelton. Harry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Shelton; daughters, Cheri (Don) Cole, Norma (Ryan) McLain; sisters, Gayle Bewley, Lou Hutten, Johnna Hugus; brothers, Richard and James Shelton; three grandchildren, Haleigh and Ethan McLain, Benjamin Cole. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. Both will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, West Biloxi. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
