CMSgt. Herbert Henry Horst

Herb Horst of Pass Christian, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at River Regions Hospice in New Orleans, after a very courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Doris, daughters, Linda Marra and Debbie Ballard; grandchildren, Jennifer Marra, Justin Ballard, and Jessica Delumyea; brothers, Kent Horst ( sister-in-law Velma), Gene Horst (sister-in-law Betty), Chet Horst (sister-in-law, Kathy); and sister-in-law Helen Horst; and also many special friends and neighbors. Herb was a devoted husband and father, who served his country in the U.S. Air Force for many years. He also served his church and community with his generous and kind spirit. He was loved by so many and will be missed deeply by them all. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with Masonic and Military Honors.
