Connie Joe Elliott, born November 5, 1942 in Dunbar, West Virginia died Thursday January 25, 2007. Connie graduated from Elkview High School, Elkview, West Virginia. She worked for West Virginia State Police, Office of Naval Research Washington D.C. Retired from U.S. Postal Service but continued to work as a Law Secretary for Sandy Steckler and Carl Souser until 2003. Connie was a member of Biloxi Elk Lodge 606, past officer & former Queen for Elks Lodge. She also served as President and Queen for LeFemme Carnival Krewe. Served as Secretary for Mississippi Gulf Coast Dart Association. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Mae D. Davis and Howard E. Dawson. A son, Glen Guy Elliott, an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Huffman, a brother-in-law, Charles M. Caldwell, and a niece, Bonnie Campo. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Glen G. Elliott, a sister, Jean Caldwell, three sons, Charles E. Elliott,(Donna), Darren J. Elliott Sr., (Tia), Paul R. Elliott (Katrina). Eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Special thanks to, Quality Hospice Care, Biloxi, MS, Singing River Hospital, Cancer Center, Dr. Patterson and his nurse Billie. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the American Cancer Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral.
