Conrad George Howell

Conrad George Howell, 81 of Gulfport, MS passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 in Gulfport.

George was born in Rosehall, Jamaica on December 15, 1941 to Walvin Howell and Tiller Miller Howell.  He finished primary school in Jamaica and attended an IT trade school in Atlanta, GA.  He was employed at the water commission in Jamaica and as a real estate agent in Georgia.  He served in the Jamaican Defense Force.  George enjoyed walking, reading and learning about God.  He enjoyed walking Stone Mountain near his home in Atlanta and participated in numerous marathons while living in Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Conrad Howell; and siblings Charles Howell and Enid Howell.

George is survived by his children, Gary C. Howell and Norma Howell; his grandchildren, Nicholas Gowdie, Kayla Howell, John Howell, Gabriel Howell; great grandson Mason Palmer; and siblings Bernie Howell, Brenda Howell, Cyril Thompson, Fern Edwards, Melva Watson, Agnes Reed and Jeffet Howell.

The family would like to thank the Gulfport Police Department and Fire Department and all our neighbors, family and friends who enabled us to return George home to his final resting place.

Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the O’Neal Road Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
