Corey Gene Johnson

Corey Gene Johnson, 28, of Biloxi, MS died on Sunday, June 26, 2011. Corey was born in Dallas, TX and was a longtime resident of the Coast. He attended D'Iberville High School, Class of 2002. Corey was employed at Bay Ice Co. and Red Zone Restaurant. Corey was a loving father in which his daughter was the center of his life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and cousin. He was known for his beautiful smile and his outlook on life. Corey was always there for everyone and he knew when to lend a hand and give advice or just to listen. He will truly be missed. Corey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff and Judy Johnson and Joe Martinelli. He is survived by his daughter, Brianna Marie Johnson and her mother, Jessica Hokamp; mother and step-father, Jana and Mark Bennett; father and step-mother, Gene and Shannon Johnson; grandparents, Clyde and Anita Sipler; sisters, Christy Chastain (Raymond Rodriguez), Michelle (Dustin) Dotilla, Amber (Dennis) Vizant, Tiffany Bennett, Amy Johnson, Ashley Johnson; brothers, Mark (Denise) Bennett, Jr., Timmy Johnson; aunt, Lisa Keeler; longtime best friend, Ryan Lamey and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Nativity BVM. Interment will be in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
